Flight to Europe can be as cheap as $300 off peak, so you aren’t going to find cheaper on a boat unless you are a stowaway.
There are very few cruise ships that transit the Atlantic. There is one from NY to England, but it costs cruise ship prices (which are pretty expensive).
You can look into working your way over on a freighter, but that often requires some union experience before you end up on a trip (with stops in Pago Pago and Africa and Diego Garcia probably before you get to Europe 
Seriously–you can get a very very cheap fare to Europe–often cheaper than flying across the US.
